Henry W. Coe State Park is a large wilderness park located in the foothills of the Diablo Range in northern California, about 20 miles southeast of San Jose. The park covers over 87,000 acres and contains over 250 miles of hiking trails, making it the largest state park in Northern California.
Rosendin Park is a small quiet section of Anderson Lake County Park in Morgan Hill. The park has a seasonal pond which is surrounded by rolling hills of oak savanna, gray pine, chaparral and grassland. There are nice views of the reservoir, the dam, a wide variety of birds, wildflowers and Mount Hamilton.
Uvas Canyon County Park is a 1,147acre natural park located in upper Uvas Canyon on the eastern side of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The park has several small waterfalls, some of which flow perennially, that feed into tributaries confluent with Uvas Creek.
The 3,144-acre Anderson Lake County Park surrounds the reservoir, and provides fishing ("catch and release" due to mercury contamination), picnicking, and hiking activities. Boating, water-skiing and jet-skiing are permitted in the reservoir.
Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve is located at the western edge of the Coyote Valley, which provides a greenbelt between San Jose and Morgan Hill. Recreation amenities include a multi-use trail for hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians.
